Epson brand lamps vs non-Epson lamps

Is your projector doing something odd after replacing the lamp with a cheaper lamp that claims to be compatible? We've been taking numerous calls and seeing projectors in our shop for service that give misleading errors but have a common thread: a cheap non-Epson lamp. Sometimes it will appear to be an overheating condition. Other symptoms might lead one to suspect a faulty ballast unit. But when we find a knock- off lamp in the unit, that's where we start and frequently finish our troubleshooting.Read More

WorkForce What..? Where..?

If you're looking for a part for your WorkForce Inkjet or All-in-One we name them exactly as they're identified on the unit itself. So if you have the "WF-2530" you'll find it listed under that name. If you have something like the "WorkForce WF-2630" - where they actually spelled out "WorkForce" on the front of the printer - you'll find it listed under the complete name; meaning it will be further down the list. Clear as mud? Just look for the exact name as it's given on the front of your printer and you should find it.Read More

Canon print heads use a heat process to eject ink from the print head. Imagine a line of very small tubes filled with ink and little heaters near the tip of each tube. When the tiny heater momentarily heats up, a small air bubble forms in the tube. This, in turn, forces (displaces) a small drop of ink out of the tip.
