This air filter (on the side of the projector) should be cleaned when dust builds up, or when you see a message indicating it should be cleaned or replaced. See \"Maintaining the Projector\" in your User Guide for details.

Overheating can damage the projector so it's a good idea to clean or replace the air filter on a regular basis.
